Choir Leader Wanted for Spring 2026 in Newly Started Choir in Sollentuna/(Upplands Väsby)

About the Position:

Hello!

We will be starting choirs around Sweden this spring and are looking for cheerful and dedicated choir leaders for our Musical Choirs. Are you interested in leading a choir?

Our choirs are for everyone, completely without auditions, and are aimed at adults who want to sing and share their interest with others.

Songs are already prepared with harmonies, recordings, lyrics, sheet music, etc., which allows you to focus solely on taking care of the members on-site without worrying about preparations.

Who are you?

You love working with people and are driven by helping individuals dare to do more and believe in themselves. You believe that singing can be a path to well-being and are happy to support people wherever they are in their singing development. You believe in the power of choral singing and its ability to unite people.

We believe that you always come with a smile and understand that when you engage with the students, this might be their best moment of the entire week. We believe you have the understanding not to get stuck on individual harmonies but instead let the joy of singing flow in the room.

You have training as a vocal educator or equivalent.

Who are we?

VocalLife has led various types of singing activities for over 10 years, primarily in Lund but also in cities such as Malmö, Ystad, Trelleborg, etc., and is now expanding throughout Sweden. We love uniting people through song.

We know that when people sing together, we create a better and healthier society that benefits both the singer and those around them.

Moreover, in an increasingly digital world, places that unite people are among the most important things there are.

We love helping people grow through the community of singing.

Compensation and Future:

We would prefer that you have a business and can invoice us, but we can also create a temporary position based on hours if that suits you better.

If you want to lead multiple choirs in your area, this could also be an opportunity.

We hope our collaboration will be long-term. Therefore, we want to create the possibility for you, if desired, to eventually change our agreement to a permanent position and also add singing lessons, vocal ensembles, group singing, etc., in your area if that is of interest. This is something we can discuss based on your wishes and our possibilities and see what solutions we can find together.
